my friends ex wife is pregnant and she doesnt want anything to do with him, he currently has allot going on in his life, trying to gather up money for a heart surgery for himself thats around 250,000 dollars, reason being is he doesnt have employment and has an enlarged heart diseaseon the other hand he suffers from, suicidal depression (being raped as a child,being shot and beaten in his past,being molested,his ex seems to only care about her bestfriend and only listens to her and her mother , he shot himself in the throat about 3 months ago and luckily he is still here alive and able to talk, the baby isnt due until december, and he fears she will file for child support even though she told him she doesnt need any money or his time, she would rather do stripping than getting money from him but if he would have to pay for CS, would the court be easy on him, remember he doest have a job, and works at a temp service, and they rarely call him, WHAT TO DO IN THIS SITUATION???????????????

If he was man enough to make a baby, he has to be man enough to support the child.
Being a temp or being sick is not an excuse; or else no one would pay child support based on those same ol' excuses.

So what if his ex ask for child support? How can she get it? If this man is unable to work and have so many medical problems, how does she plan on collecting anything from him. The only thing he has to do, that if she try to collect child support, is appear at court like he suppose to, explain his circumstances and listen to what the judge says. If he has to, get his doctors to write him out a statement indicating his condition and he is financially able to pay with something he doesn't have. GEt all documents together and have him prepared b/c you can believe that she will probably try to file for child support. It sounds low down but she will. So get everything together. (documents, statements, medical statements, etc.) Keep them in a secured location and just wait. As for the heart surgery, he can't get any type of medical assistant? Did he tell the hospital administration about his financial disability? It will be difficult to collect that amount of money while worrying about your condition. Don't let these people take advantage of your friend. Please seek him some assistant. Talk to people, spread the word and hopefully he will get help from some where. Have a fund raiser, go to local churches, just keep tryin until he get help for his surgery. Good luck on your accomplishment, I can tell that your friend has his work cut out for him.

if the child is his, is is legally responsible for that child as well as the female...if she retains custody of the child, me may very well be required to pay child support...remember the PARENTS of the children brought into this world are RESPONSIBLE for that child. If he didn't want the responsibility, then he should not have helped to produce the child, or could have used protection to prevent such a child being born.
Sorry, but he needs to face up to his responsibility that he helped create.

the court will grant her child support according to how much he makes, and how well he is. what he might want to check out is if he could give up all his parental rights. if he does this, he is stating that he will never be in the child's life, and is not responsible for supporting the child.
