God already knows that you love Him, but you might feel like you want to prove it to yourself. Or, perhaps, since you love God, your strong desire to do something good comes from wanting to be like Him - in which case, rest assured, you really do love God. Now... time to go out and do God's work! :)

It is not really God who needs the proof, but apparently you need to prove it to yourself, so I have a suggestion: Devote some time each day to helping alleviate suffering. One of the first steps toward this goal is to understand yourself, and align your thoughts so that you can develop compassion and establish your own inner peace/stability.

Even if you are not a Buddhist, I would strongly suggest studying the Buddhist Noble Eightfold Path, and try some of the mental exercises suggested to help harmonize your thoughts and open your potential for compassion. These ideas are not specific to any certain religion, so anyone on any compassion-oriented spiritual path can practice them. The basic idea is to exercise your mind and spirit is such a way that you have more capacity for love.

The proof of your love for God, or anyone else, is your willingness to cultivate good intentions, then put those good intentions to good use, thus helping to make the world a more peaceful, joyful, and loving place. I cannot promise much in life, but if you are serious about proving your love for God, or simply learning to lead a more spiritually rewarding life, I can pretty much guarantee that this approach will be worth your while.

You really don't, and you can't prove anything either. Love is giving and only God has that attribute; besides, what could you possibly give to Him?

Come to your senses dear, you might be a loving person, but you're also an egotistic one. Your altruism, no matter how much, cannot and will not do away with your ego.

This is when "reality" hits an honest loving person, when he/she finds out that he/she really want to be good, but they can't. This is when one cries out, but eventually one understands and takes it easy, and life goes on.

its interesting you should mention that.. because true love in its simplest form is easy to express and show although you should know and be shure of this that God does not need you to prove your love to him because he already knows how much you love him. in the bible there is a verse that says: ...man sees what is in front of his eyes while God sees what is in the heart. what this means is that while the world seems to always ask for proof of love among other things God searches the heart and sees what is true therefore he needs NO proof. if you want to know more then read the bible and ask him to show you the truth hidden in the words you see so you can understand Romans 12:12.

Singing HU draws us closer in our state of consciousness to the Divine Being. This is its purpose. It is for those who desire spiritual love, freedom, wisdom, and truth.

An Invitation to Sing HU
You are invited to try this simple spiritual exercise. It has helped people of many different faiths open their hearts more fully to the uplifting presence of God.

To do the exercise, first get comfortable. Close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths. Next, gently put your attention on your inner visual screen, where daydreams and images come to you.

With your eyes closed, sing HU (pronounced like the word hue) as a song of love. There are many ways to experience the love of God. You may notice a feeling of peace, warmth, and comfort. You may also recognize the presence of the Divine through greater spiritual insights into your daily life.

Be absolutely different from those fundamentalists who claim that they are loving and complete adherents to "God's law", when, in fact, they are hypocritical, judgemental and often sociopathic, to the max. :))) And, even more importantly, actually really connect with him/her through meditation practices.

Those people who feel that they have a "perfect connection to/with Him/Her" via denouncing gays, pro-choice folks, political liberals and just about any one else who doesn't follow "the party line" are sadly deluded as to their "holiness", and status as God's chosen" :))
