help me sims 2!!!!!!!?

my sims 2 game won't run because it says it can't find directx,how can i fix this???

it worked fine for about a year then crashed,and i have directx just says it can't find it.and when i go to download it it says that i can't

Search your computer for DirectX, delete it and re-install.

you might need to update your video card....or drive, but i had to update mine because the same thing happend
