The Bush administration knew nothing about Bin Laden and were unable to take action to help prevent 9/11?

Sorry, I'm trying to understand the conservative logic behind this...

You blame Clinton for not getting Bin Laden, even though Bin Laden would have only been extradited to Saudi Arabia.
So why couldn't Bush immediately go after Bin Laden?

Please shed some light on what could have been done to stop evil a**holes from hijacking airplanes and crashing them into buildings. Nobody could have forseen that coming and if you say you did, YOU should have done something about it.

Of course they knew Bin Laden existed. They knew you existed as well. The question is did they know that Bin Laden had a plan of action commited to the twin towers? And, did they have the legal ability to act? The answer is no.

One of the biggest causes of the governments inability to fend off 9/11. in addition to the enormous blackhole of a bureaucracy that is our government, was the transfer of power from Clinton to Bush. When administrations change, we have a "transition" government that occurs. With Bush v Gore, it delayed the transition government and caused bureaucratic nightmares.

It is not an attack on Clinton, but rather a statement of fact. Clinton bears no burden for this aspect of the attack, but he does bear some of the burden for a failure to act as well. The logistics for 9/11 happened on his watch, and I blame the failure of both administrations to effectlvly lead congress to untie the hands of our intelligence organizations.

I think every administration going all the way back to Carter is at fault for 9/11.

I think we should spend less time being outraged that the Bush administration let 9/11 happen but rather spend more time being outraged that the Bush administration let bin Laden go Tora Bora to fulfill their own agendas.

If I tell you my theory about 9/11 you'll probably all report me to the FBI, but anyways...yes they could have taken steps to prevent 9/11 *snickers*. It happened on his watch and there was intelligence about terrorist attacks before. The honest truth is that he was being sloppy and there is no excuse. Personally I think Bush is the reason why it happened, but I won't get into that.
I think it is disgusting that Bush can tell anyone that 9/11 was non-preventable, especially the families of the victims of 9/11.

Why don't you investigate and read actual legitmate resouces regarding this entire mess. I liked Clinton even though he was more interested in pulling his pants down and involved in his private affairs rather than foreign affairs. Stop bashing Bush, I voted for him too.

There is no way that tragedy could be averted in just 9 months time. Quite using the death of these people for your political gains. There were mothers and children on those planes.
