Well... Depends on what you know about her tastes. About when was she a teenager? That's when musical tastes are set for most of us. I even like to hear songs from the late 80s/early 90s that I used to hate, just because they remind me of places, things, people, or events that were important to me. She might like being reminded of better times, and right now, almost any times might be better. This is also a really good opportunity for you to talk to her and connect with her in a way you might not have up to now.

Steet's Of Heaven by Sherri Austin. I'm not much into country but i love that song. It's about this 2year old girl with cancer and she's in the hospital. She ends up dying and her mom talks to god and tells him to please keep her safe on the streets of heaven. That song makes me really emotional because 3 years ago I had a cousin the same age of the girl in the song that had cancer. he spent his 2nd and 3rd birthday in the hospital and at one point the Doctor told us that he wasn't going to make it through the night. Miraculously the next day Tyler was sitting up in his hospital bed. When he had gotten home a month or two later he had told us that he did die and got to see god. He said that god told him it wasent his time and he had to go back down and live a healthy life with his family. I hope god can help you the same way he helped me.

A perfect circle has one or tool, I forgot wich one
Maynard's mom had cancer, she passed, Rest Her Soul
But it's quite contraversial.
It's the song F8ck your God.
It got changd to Thank your God,
and that's when Maynard came out and said
" I wasn't talking about the general God, Only about the God of sheep who lack a sense of humor"
The whole song was based on how he lost faith becasue his mom, who was such a sweet caring LOVING warm, soul had cancer, and He could understand why God would do that to such a good person.
It's actually a really moving song if people will get over the obviouse.

Depends if you want sad or upbeat. Skin by Rascal Flatts is so good....its about a little girl with cancer. I cry everytime I listen to it. (My dad has cancer, I think it's sweet you are thinking of her) Rascal Flatts are always great anyway. Lilly Allen is really good, a good casual pop sound. Carrie Underwood is wonderful.
Hope that helps a little.
