I'm studying abroad in Birmingham and the thing I've wanted to do most is see an Aston Villa game. Well, I've only got a few chances left so I'm booking tickets asap and I need to decide where to sit. I was wondering if there were particular sections that I might want to or not want to sit in. Like is there a particular side or section of the stadium that is for home/away fans or what?

Any help would be appreciated!

I suggest as you are a neutral you choose to sit in the upper Trinity Road centre, that way you will be able to enjoy both sets of supporters without being near the hard core, you will also get a good view of the game from here too.You can visit the Aston Villa website at www.avfc.premiumtv.co.uk If you click on tickets & then stadium plan you'll get a good idea.Enjoy yourself, but a visit to Birmingham City would be better.

the home fans sit in the holte, Trinity road end and doug elise sand and the away fans sit in the lower section of the north stand, if you want an ticket in the away section you will need to buy the ticket from the club which is playing away from villa park, the best bet is to go to the ticket office at the bottom floor of the pavilions shopping centre or to the ground.

if you want to sing sity in the hotle if you don't sit any where else (i like the Trinity Road best if not singing.)

I went to Villa Park in October last year to see them play Spurs, although I was a neutral I sat in 'The Holte End' ..... It was a fantastic day and the villa fans are brilliant! You cant help but get involved ..and when Gareth Barry curled one in from 25 yards to equalize I was the first up screaming!!! What a day and what a ground!!! PS and i'm a QPR fan ;-(

the main fan end is the holte end, the north end is where the away fans sit and is is also the family end. the holte and north stands are at oppostie ends of the pitch behind the goals. the trinity road and doug ellis stands are the sides of the stadium and are both for home fans but are quieter than the holte end. in my opinion the main atmosphere for home fans is in the holte. hope this helps.

Sit in the Holte end for the atmosphere or the Trinity road side for a more balanced view or perhaps you should follow Glenn g's advice and go to Sty Andrews, theres certainly plenty of empty seating there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you don,t like noise I suggest the holte end it,s big and quiet but sadly all the seats face the pitch PS what are you studying , the results of small gene pools?
