Not all babies crawl. Some go straight to walking. That is perfectly normal :)

There are lots of babies who never crawl at all, they just pull up one day and start walking around the furniture. There is nothing in their brains that is affected by crawling, and sometimes when a baby skips straight to walking, they'll start crawling later on. Unless your pediatrition is concerned, ignore 'everyone'. Your baby will be just fine, and will crawl and walk when she's ready.

My son is now 3. He went from crawling for about 2 days to walking. He didn't talk until about 6 months ago and now I can't get him to shut up. All babies are different just make sure you are feeding them as much nutritous food as you can and thats all you can do. But don't be concerned w/ other mother's expectations for THEIR children. Your child is YOUR child and is awesome no matter what, The crawling thing is silly talk.

No she does not have to crawl and the information that your friends have is completely wrong. If she wants to walk without crawling then that is just the way she is and does not affect her brain in anyway.so relax and enjoy the fact that you have a clever normal little girl.

There are plenty of babies who skipped crawling and went straight to walking. Don't worry over it, I'm sure she's fine. At her one year old check-up, her doctor will check her over developmentally anyhow.

i don't think she needs to crawl first. my oldest son rolled to get to wherever he wanted to go. my niece, who is about 17 months now, scooted on her but, refused to crawl, and then one day she walked and now she runs. babies all develop differently, and they do things their way. as long as she's getting around on her own and is active, she's fine.
