What I found by doing the same thing in Australia. Is email some compaies that sell products and ask them if they have any samples of their products that you would like to try and that you are interested in trying their products before you buy. It really helps because I have got lots of samples by doing this in Australia. And most companies will send out samples to your if you provide an address to them.. All they can really do is say no that they don't do samples of their products.
