It's NOT harmful.
It IS a programme
But just a web browser like whichever one you're using now (internet explorer, safari, navigator etc)
NOT a virus, NOT for downloading anything (illegal or otherwise)
take a deep breath now!
A lot of people find it easier to use than some others browsers,
like me- I'm using it now and have been more or less since it came out in this country- never had any problems. Even my university use it now. AND it work really well with Macs.

Mozilla FireFox will not harm your browser any more than Internet Explorer will. In fact, many argue that it is a superior browser compared to Internet Explorer so you might want to consider trying it instead of Internet Explorer. Personally, I've converted my family over to using it and I only use Internet Explorer to go get the software updates from Microsoft.

No it's just a web browser. But try Internet Explorer Version 7 I like it better than Firefox.

No harm (unless you're short on disk space...) You can set whichever browser you want, as default browser, without losing the ability to use the other, whenever you want. Firefox doesn't take over. You can uninstall it at any time.

No, Firefox will NOT harm ur computer. I switched from IE to Firefox earlier this year and I wished I had done so a lot sooner.

Firefox is one of the best browsers out it's all I ever use it's safer faster and more reliable than internet explorer

Panic not! Firefox is a very reliable and security focused web browser, try running it, once you give it a try you might never go back to crappy internet explorer.
