How do I download songs on it? Whenever I plug it into the computer the screen just says "Do not disconnect". My first ipod, no instructions, I'm lost. I'm using limewire for the songs by the way.

First you have to download i-Tunes.Site http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and you have to transport your music into i-Tunes and automaticly it will go ino your i-Pod.

When it says do not disconnect, that means it is ready for downloading. You need to go to itunes.com and download the latest version of iTunes. You can download songs from there, or keep downloading from limewire and just send them to iTunes. You can also copy music from a c.d. into iTunes the same way you would into windows media player. But with an iPod you can only use iTunes for syncing. When you find a song you want, you just open it in iTunes and drag it into your nano. Songs automatically load into your nano so you don't have to mess with making a sync list. It's pretty simple really.

Connect ipod to computer.
Download iTunes from the apple website.
apple.com
Then when you download songs from limewire, open them up in iTunes, then drag and drop the song u want into your nano (which will be opened up in iTunes)

you have to download i tunes, you can do that by going to www.itunes.com
if you already have i tunes you will need to save the music from limewire into a folder.
In i tunes you will need to transfer the folder with the songs in it you want.
Once the songs are on the i tunes screen plug the i pod in.
Each time you plug it in it will update

If you haven't already, you must have itunes installed to your computer. You can download it for free at; www.apple.com/itunes/download/
After that, plug in your ipod and open up itunes. It should automatically ask you if you'd like to have your my music folder to be copied to the itunes library. click yes and wait for the files to be copied. when its done, go to file and click sync to "" ipod.

just print out a maunual for it, its impressive how poeple are so technologically inept in this day and age
