After 4 years, and 100% feedback-they took away my account for re-selling an item of fake jewellery that I BOUGHT on Ebay, so please don't criticise-it's advice I need more practical advice on getting my account back(the begging and pleading to Ebay was pointless) I have just moved house, got a new IP provider,so I feel maybe this is a good time to start afresh-any advice please on what else I can do to ensure I keep this account?

It used to be that you need a specific type of email address to verify your identity (like a school email, or one you get for signing up your with your Internet provider like comcast or netzero, etc). However, within the last few years they have increased their users by allowing the email to be from anywhere (yahoo, Microsoft, etc).

All you need to do to sell or buy on eBay again is to sign up with a new email address. Even if they do check the street address, etc. when you register (which I don't even think they do), all that stuff would have changed. There is no way they are going to know that you are the same person.

Unfortunately, you are going to have to start anew, which means no positive feedback. However, in your case it also means no negative feedback so you might as well suck it up and start over.

If you've only done this once you should be able to reinstate your account with them with no problem. I went through the same thing selling designer inspired jewelry and someone reported me. I was making a ton of money, too. Anyway, they suspended my account and I signed and agreed never to do that again and they reinstated my account after about 7 days.
