Myspace claims to have a procedure to change your email address if you don't have it anymore. It doesn't work. Even the automated response to this procedure says that they're going to respond to the old email address that we don't have anymore. It is very frustrating. I have run through it a hundred times to no avail. The problem is that our band has over 5000 friends and it would take another year or two to get them all back. This has been going on since late '05. Is anybody home at Myspace?

Myspace support is terrible. I have had several incidents and have received a "canned" response or no response at all....
Are you still able to login to myspace using your old email and password? If so, maybe the best thing to do would be to send a bulletin out to all your fans with a link to your new profile? I know it sucks though, myspace should have a better solution for this kind of situation- because many people change email addresses and don't have access to the old one...

When in desperation, use the U.S. Post Office to write a letter complaining about their online procedures. Make sure to keep a copy for yourself and you might send a copy to some watch-dog group.
