It really depends on the size of the rabbit and their eating habits. I had a large french lop who would eat and eat and eat everything in front of her and want more to the point where she got too fat and had to go on a diet, she was restricted to a big hand full of food and and all the hay she wanted with veg & possibly a few sultanas as a treat. I now have a lionhead who limits here food herself. her bowl can be Full but she will not eat all of that in a day it could take her a few but she still gets offered fresh veg. Only you can really gauge what your rabbit needs.

Rabbits could have a weight loss plan of 80 % hay/ grass (this could be available in any respect circumstances with an countless supply) ; something could be a mix of vegetables and advertisement pellets/ nuggets. Excel are solid. do no longer feed them mixed feeds because it encourages selective feeding. in basic terms supply them fruit as a handle. by no potential supply them lettuce and shop carrots to a minimum. you may feed rabbits as quickly as - two times an afternoon as a instruction manual. you should supply then the pellets interior the morning, and vegetables interior the afternoon? each and every time it extremely is, feed them at greater or less the comparable time daily.

Rabbits are foragers, so a continues supply of food is best. I always gave mine 1 cup of feed, and as much alfalfa hay as they wanted. This is for a large adult.
You can mix in fresh veggies and special treats. All the need is something to nibble on and constant fresh water. If your rabbit starts gaining weight, reduce the pellet amount.
Make sure they have natural wood to chew on so that you don't have to worry about having their teeth trimmed, and a mineral block.

They should have access to hay 24/7 (preferably a grass hay like timothy, not alfalfa).
If you can't get a reliable source of hay, as many small meals as day as possible is better, as rabbits are grazers, and can get sick if they fast for too long. So twice a day is better than one, and three better than two, etc.

I fed my rabbits twice a day. First thing in the morning and early evening. It really depends on the rabbit and how much food you leave for it.

Rabbits need a high fibre, high volume diet of grass and vegetation requiring them to browse 70-80 times a day. Check out http://www.rabbitsonline.org

hay should be available at most times, and pellets can be fed either once or twice a day. Many people overfeed pellets by allowing them a constant supply of them; it's much better to give a limited portion per day.

I would put dry rabbit food out in the morning and give your rabbit some lettuce or cauliflour leaves also. you could also put in a wooden clothes peg to keep teeth worn down as they grow very quickly.

I just kept the food in a try when I had a rabbit. They know when to stop eating.
