Loose stools is one of the signs that labor is close by. Congrats - sounds like you'll be having a baby soon!

W/ my first pregnancy I started having cramping around the same time, It I kept an eye on it for about a week, Soon they grew into labor pains, then my water broke and so on and so forth. You should call your Dr, and let him/her know. You would want to watch out for your "mucus plug" or blood, or minor contractions happening consistenly. I started getting these minor contractions about 4-5 mins apart, They didn't hurt TOO bad, but I knew it was time. I was dialating, but gave birth the next day. SO you really should check with your DR. Just look for CONSISTENT pains, you know happening every 10, 5 2 mins or so. Good Luck. I'm only 6 weeks and have SUCH a long way to go! I'm jealous.

I know that just prior to labor (or even during it) many women will have a sudden bout of diarrhea and vomiting. It is the body's way of cleaning out anything that may otherwise come out while you're bearing down. I have not, however, heard of it lasting for 3 days.
I would give a quick call to the doctor and let them know what's going on. It could be something you ate, but this close to the home stretch, why chance anything.
Good luck

I've been very "loose" my entire pregnancy (I'm 27 weeks now). When I asked my DR why I had diarrhea and not the typical constipation that most pregnant women get he said that pregnancy is bound to affect your bowels...but it can be affected on either spectrum, diarrhea or constipation...both are normal.
Unless you are having long term, "explosive" diarrhea that lasts for a long period of time and your cramping becomes more painful I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure to drink lots of fluids to prevent any dehydration!

I have three kids and the only time that I really remember this happening was when I went into labor with my son. It is completly normal and it is your bodys way of saying that the baby is getting ready for its birthday. Congrats! This did not happen to me untill the big day, and I know it can be really scary, but in the end you will have a great reward.

Yep, sure is.
If you get the runs all day for days, thats different. but loose stools and cramps like youre starting a period is normal. Part of the body getting ready to start labor.

Your body is getting ready to deliver baby, and the hormone levels are all changing in your body,..... sounds normal. As for the cramps It could be braxton hicks, you know the false labor pains. You may want to get the pains checked by your GP or midwife if they are much more bothersome and closer together. I wish you a swift delivery. Take Care

Yes. You need to read What to Expect When You're Expecting. I've read in lots of books that happens towards the end. It didn't happen to me though.

sounds to me like your body is getting ready for the big moment! That is your bodies way of getting rid of things to focus YOUR energies on the task that is about to consume you!
