My combination skin tends to break out so I've tried Oxy 10 and it works. It was a bit strong for everyday use so I alternated it with Aveeno Clear Radiance Facial Cleansing Pads. The pads provided topical exfoliation as well as gentle, thorough cleansing.
Be sure to avoid sun exposure and wear oil-free sunscreen because benzoyl peroxide can make the skin more prone to sunburn.

Benzoyl peroxide is the active ingredient in acne free. and if that didn't work for you, like the oxy treatment is not either. However you may see some results as the concentration of BP is much higher in Oxy than acne free.
I would recommend that you consider using a salicylic based treatment. Generally people who don't respond to BP respond to Salicylic acid much better.

I use Oxy 10 and its pretty good. However it can dry out skin so I like Clearasil (the original kind) Daily Acne Control. Its got 10% benzoyl peroxide like oxy but its better. It clears up zits like a miracle! and even when zits are gone use Neutrogena Daily Face cleanser.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.
There is a great website: http://acnehomesolution.com that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

I use it...it works for me, but I have always responded well to products with Benzoyl Peroxide. Be careful, though...the one you bought has a really high percentage of it, and that can be hard on your skin. You might want to make sure you have a good moisturizer on hand, because your skin will probably dry out a little bit at the start. The best tip I have for you though, is to really wash your skin. Rub your face for a good 60 seconds...that will do more than any lotion can.

It's okay. It tends to dry my face out too much and it will bleach your clothes if you get alot on them.
Personally if acne is a big problem I would suggest you go to a dermatologist. There is so much they can do to help. There are creams, foams, antibiotics, and other things.
Good luck!
