There are a lot of positions like that available. In fact, friends of ours were in the same complex we were and the wife started out doing some part time cleaning and eventually ended up being the manager. Depending on where you are moving too, look up the paper online. I know St. Paul Pioneer Press had a lot of advertisements for maintenance people, the number 1 requirement, good work ethic! Most people stop showing up or get lazy and get fired. That's how my friend got the full time job. Also, look at the assisted living centers - my mom runs one and has a heck of a time finding someone to maintain the building.

There were so many smart aleck answeres to this, but, ''cuz my hubby did apart. maint. for years, I'll give you a "real" answer: I suggest you pick the location you're most interested in & pull up their newspaper on-line. Even in small cities like Flagstaff, AZ (where we currently live) there are want ads every week for managment/maintenance couples. Good luck in your search & enjoy the perks (I miss the free stuff people leave behind when they move--we still have a huge store credit at the local used books, video, etc store! Oh, and consider hotels, inns, resorts.
