Why do people think they didn't do anything wrong when they get a traffic ticket?

It's not like the police officer is pulling you over for absolutely no reason!

Because not all drivers pay attention on the road. Some don't know they were speeding, or a tail light is out, or that something is smoking, or their lights aren't on. Some drivers really don't realize that the did anything wrong.

Maybe they think of all the other people who get away with it, and YOU have to be the only one to get caught.
