It feels like survival when you pay less. When you have to be frugal there is a reason- because you are poor. What really feels good is to drop big chips nonchalantly on various amenities that you don't need. Buying a pair of Gucci jeans for $700 and drinking a bottle of $200 champagne feels good. Going to the dollar store and buying some poorly made products feels like crapppp.
