with Moss and Johnson at each side they could make any pro QB a pro bowler.

No. Raiders need leadership at QB above anything else. They should draft either JaMarcus Russel or Brady Quinn with the top pick or trade the pick to Atlanta for Matt Schaub. Then rebuild the O-Line with the rest of the draft.

If Randy Moss goes, then I think about drafting Johnson, however with a quarterback definitely needed by the Raiders, I think they are going to pick Jemarcus Russell who has a great arm and Moss would more likely stay around or Brady Quinn of Notre Dame who has pro experience behind him with Weis' West Coast offense philosophy. Remember they are not going to resign AAron Brooks that is why it seems they will draft a QB. But Al Davis has surprised people in the past and he might even trade Randy Moss to get more picks in the draft and makes a Johnson and Russelll or Quinn combination a threat rightaway. We must also remember that Al Davis has a history of not playing rookie QB's too often so he might want to fnd out who that would sit better with and once he finds out then he will make is decision from there. Calvin Johnson is still a great first round pick so Davis might be going for both of them .

Moss won't be on the other side which is a bigger reason to pick him. Yes the need a great QB but Russell and Quinn are not locks. Johnson is by far the best player coming out this year and Davis would be a fool to let him slip through his fingers. But Davis and the word "fool" are often used in the same sentence these days. There are a few veteran QB's on the market and a few that they could get via a trade. Ex. David Carr, Jake Plummer, Damon Huard, Jeff Garcia ect.

Yes... they should trade Randy Moss for a 3rd to 4th round draft pick where they can pick up an RB, and acquire Jake Plummer. And while you are right they COULD make any QB a pro bowler, the tandem could also make any coach lose all his hair trying to deal with them. I have them taking Russell though, who would be a pro bowler anyway on any team except oakland. (same w/ brady quinn)

I say yes. First, we have two punks playing WR for us right now. I say they try to trade Moss to the Packers for their 16th pick. Then trade down their 1st pick to the Browns for their 3rd pick and a 3rd or 4th. We pick up Johnson at #3 (Lions will not pick another WR at #2 and the Browns will probably pick up one of the QB's). This would be the best long term option because neigther Quinn or Russell can succeed with the O-line we have. Pick Johnson at 3, try to get an O-lineman at #16 and you have an extra 3rd or 4th to get help where needed.

If you think this is just another Raider looney trying dreaming let me explain why this makes sense. First, the Packers have shown interest in Moss. The move makes sense for them because it is the best short term solution to maximizing Favre's remaining 2 years. Plus Moss still has some crazy skills when he wants to use them.
Second the Browns are in serious need of some playmakers themselves. They would love to pick up Russell or Quinn because they have Charlie "French" Frye. They would even contemplate taking Thomas @ #1 (doubtful). They have Braylon Edwards at WR so I don't see a huge risk of them picking Johnson. Even if they did, this would give us the opportunity of picking up Thomas, Russell, or Quinn at # 3. What do you think?

NO, they need a solid QB. They already have a good receiving corps. They should pick JeMarcus Russell or Brady Quinn. With a good QB, Randy Moss and Jerry Porter will flourish. Last year, both of their all pro WR's were unhappy with their coach. Maybe Lane Kiffin will rejuvenate their offense if he can make them happy. Moss is getting older, but Porter is still in his prime. With a good QB, they would both have a good year.

If they would draft Calvin Johnson i think they should trade Randy Moss for a veteran pro bowl quarterback, coz obviously drafting Russell or Quinn wont solve the problem, rookie quarterbacks cannot be an instant impact or an instant leader for an NFL team.

The Raiders are in need of everything for the most part. Instead of picking up a wide receiver (which they had a good one last season in Moss who didn't do much of anything because he never got the ball) they should either take a quarterback or trade down in an attempt of getting more draft selections to fill their needs.

No they shouldn't they have way more problems then WR right now they need an offensive line to protect any semblance of a QB they will have next year. They should really trade down and get some more picks

First off why would they keep Moss? Second they need a QB more then they need a WR. Third they need an O-Line BUT that isn't going to be the first round.
