Are they all on their fourth marriages? What is this?

I haven't been there YET but there is a divorce flu running through my neighborhood and the women always get the short end. As one woman said, "These guys will pay when the kids reach puberty. It never fails."

Sounds like you had a bad day in court. I've been practicing domestic law 30 years now and have found most judges to be impartial.
PS - Most everyone feels they got the shaft in a divorce, husband and wife alike. The sad thing is that they have not gotten the shaft but they leave with less than they had when they came in due to splitting of assets.

I think it's because for so long, custody, child support, alimony, etc. were all given to women automatically, whether they were actually the better parent or not. With the modernization of society, its not as common for the woman to automatically get everything they file for. I'm an ex-wife with 2 ex-husbands and was treated like that but I honestly believe its wrong for a woman to demand the things some of them have and deny rights to men who are really good devoted fathers. Like saying they only get visitation every other weekend and when married the father was actually an active part of their lives everyday! That's just wrong and was done out of vengance, not what was best for the kids. There are good and bad in either parent so I'm glad to see laws have changed that give good fathers a chance to remain good fathers. The ones who weren't never will be anyway!

Because for 50 years women have gone to court, cried a little, and destroyed the lives of the men that worked, saved, and built and the children who have been adversely affected.
Not to say that women are completely to blame, but there can be nothing like watching a woman you loved wipe away everything that you've dreamed with one fell swoop of the gavel.
Kansas is now completely egaltarian which means the father/husband is entitled to everything that the mother/wife is.

wow, my experience show the opposite of that. I think it's just that family court is the worst place on the earth and that everyone gets the shaft when they go in there.

because women use child support to their advantage, especially when it is not needed.
