D. work ethic.

Ego Id is where you're comfortable and confident with yourself.

Social stature is how you're viewed in the eyes of society.

Performance anxiety is a negative thing. It's where you're constantly worried about how you're doing on any given task.

Work ethic is positive. It is exactly how your question was phrased.

You need to think about what each answer means. We can probably rule out performance anxiety as the person described wants nothing but to perform and keep busy.

What is ego identity? Just the sense of oneself as a distinct continuous identity. Does that definition match the one above "...a strong sense of responsibility to keep busy and accomplish worthwhile things..." It sounds a little different to me.

What about social stature? It's basically your status. Your social stature (or social status) can be popular, jock, nerd, etc. in high school. In the world after high school, your stature can change to high class, low class, working middle class, etc. Does that sound like someone who is described as having a strong sense of responsibility and want to do something worthwhile? They are not the same definitions, right?

So the answer is work ethic. Someone has a very strong work ethic when they feel a great sense of responsibility to do something worthwhile. Someone can say you have a good work ethic if you show up to work every day or if you work really hard at something until you figure it out.

Did I help a little instead of just giving the answer?
