Well this question comes down to who believes in aliens and who don't believe in aliens. We have no way of knowing how "Aliens" see us because 1. We don't even know if they exsist 2. We are not looking from their point of view. The human race has been attempting to "Talk" with aliens for a while. We have shot radio signals into space and waiting for a return signal. I personally think if there is any other life out there it is way to far out for them to know about us.

Any other life in the universe is simply too far away to be able to communicate with us. And that's assuming they have equal or superior technology than we do.

We have been beaming information into space for almost a century, albeit the first radio broadcasts were pretty weak. No answer from anything out there.

Let's assume that a distant planet (relatively speaking) that's 100 light-years away somehow received one of our earliest radio broadcasts. Assuming they decoded and responded to our signal instantaneously, we'll be waiting another 100 years to receive their reply. Our planet, of course, still has no idea that the distant planet ever received our signal in the first place, making it damn near impossible that we would ever detect their response.

Space is a big place, bigger than we can ever comprehend. Odds are that we will always be alone, simply because space is too big for us to talk to our nearest neighbor.

We are a primitive race. We did spark their interest when we detonated the Atomic Bomb, which is why a ship crashed in Roswell, New Mexico, near the site of the first detonation.

We are probably a fantastically interesting example of complex chemistry that is still in the early stages of development.

At this point they have no interest in communicating with us as individuals as it would be much like you communicating with individual cells of your body.

They are waiting for our machines to become advanced enough that they form an earth-wide macro intelligence that persists long enough to interact with them on their time scales.

this question is impossible to answer, as we cannot possibly comprehend how an ALIEN species thinks or processes information.
