If your printer is looking for the WIN98 disk you maybe out of luck. Try browsing to your c: drive and see if there is a folder there called options or i386. If you have one of these folders you are in luck. Open the folder and browse to the drivers folder. If not you will have to find a WIN98 cd.

Even with Win 98 you shouldn't need the startup disk or any other software if the printer is reasonably standard. If it's an oddball printer go to the manufacturer's web site and download a driver for it.
