I know you are all thinking that i am not creative but last year when i had to do this i had an awesome idea but now i am just blank any help.

It's been a while since I had to write a short story.
My suggestion: Write about something you know. You have probably heard this before. It's true. You can write about an event in your life: a special Christmas or birthday. If something amusing happened to you on a trip, write about that.
When I was in high school long, long ago- I wrote a short story about getting braces. I recall I received a good grade. I included description of the smell of the orthodontist's office, the art on the wall, the process and how I felt while it was going on. I had braces in the 60s, and the process is much different now.

My favorite short stories are ones that shed light on a small part of life or a single concept. Usually people try to put too much stuff into a small space and loose content to fluff. Want a people story? Pick a person and imagine a day in their life, like maybe the guy on the corner with the "will work for food" sign, or your school janitor. Also, a person in history, even somebody like a grandparent. A day in the life of your grandparent when they were your age? All of these ideas give you an excuse to go out into the world and learn about others lives. The person above that said "write about something you know" is right on, I'm just suggesting you go out and learn something new. Now that's education, and maybe even fun!

Why don't you write a story about a man who lived on a farm, and his talking goat. You could say that he found him or something and they live together....but make it kind of funny...i always thought that it was a funny story line..good luck, sounds like a fun project
