I felt one movement - really, really obvious - at 17 weeks. Then nothing for another 3 weeks, and they were much lighter. I could see the baby moving at the ultrasound, but couldn't feel it.

Most women feel the first movements between 18-25 weeks, earlier for a second pregnancy (b/c you know what it feels like). Also, the weight of the mother has nothing to do with when they feel the baby move. Skinny women do not feel it any earlier.

With my first I did not realize what I was feeling was him until about 5 1/2 months. For me it was like a muscle twitch on the stomach. Usually the thinner you are the sooner you can tell. After the first time of really knowing what it was it was fantastic. Then when they get around 7 months they can get hiccups. My second had them all the time and I use to just have the best time watching my belly twitch. She also got (and still gets) hiccups more than her two brothers.

Enjoy!

Hi, congatulations!
I started to feel the tiniest little flutters around 14-15 weeks. It might fell like a piece of popcorn popping or gas rolling around. It will be fast and brief. You can feel it sometimes right after you eat something. It is the coolest feeling!

Try drinking some milk or eating something sweet, then lie down on your side and wait a few minutes. You may feel something then.

I was 17 weeks 3 days when I was sure that it was the baby moving. I did feel him before that a few times, but was never sure.... Everyone is different.

I did'nt start feeling my baby untill about 5 1/2 months. One night I was getting into bed and I yelled at my husband because I thought he poked me. Was'nt the husband! Finally my lil one gave a good swift kick. Have fun!

I started feeling movement around 16 weeks. Little flutters that felt kind of like a muscle twitch (or the kind of muscle tic you get in your eye), but from the inside.

After that they got stronger and stronger...

You might feel somthing around 16 weeks, but because you are first time pregnant you may not feel it until 20 - 24 weeks.

I felt my baby move around 20 weeks or so. I am overweight also, it takes longer for some women who are overweight. Congrats!
