Hi,
You can call MassHealth at 1-888-665-9993 or try their customer service line (1-800-841-2900) to find out if you are eligible for Medicare or Medicaid. You may want to fill out an application here:
http://www.mass.gov/?pageID=eohhs2terminal&L=5&L0=Home&L1=Consumer&L2=Insurance+(including+MassHealth)&L3=Apply+for+MassHealth+Coverage&L4=Applicants+Under+Age+65+and+Families&sid=Eeohhs2&b=terminalcontent&f=masshealth_consumer_applicant_under65_apply&csid=Eeohhs2
You can also check your eligibility by going to:
http://www.massresources.org/pages.cfm?contentID=35&pageID=13&subpages=yes&dynamicID=567
You should be covered if you (& your partner) don't make more than the poverty level. If you do then you'll need to apply for free care, which will help foot any hospital bills. You'll need to discuss this with your physician who will have to fill out part of the application. I live near Worcester and I can give you a site that might be able to help you further with information:
http://www.fhcw.org/fc.htm
This may not be your area, but I think the phone number will give you a service rep. who can tell you the number in your area. You will need to get the form for free care at a nearby service center. The reps should be able to tell you more.
If this is not possible, go to the local Planned Parenthood in your town. They will be able to provide you with everything you'll need for the next few months - and/or give you advice about needs to get done. I wish you all the best. Congratulations!

I would find out what kind of free health aid your state gives. Each state is different. Go to the nearest office and apply for help. Thats the only thing you can do. If you get turned down, I would save as much money as you can before the baby is born because you will have some serious bills. The birthing can cost up to 25000 or more depending if you need a c section. If you cant get state help , Im sure the hospital will help you set up payments. I also agree with Chrish H. If you are so short on money you should have been more careful. I cant afford a baby right now and Im married and I feel like we make good money but I try to make sure we dont have a baby. After this baby, start birth control. Even if you take birth control, be more precautious and dont have sex with anyone unless you are married and have 2 incomes to support a baby because birthcontrol doesnt work all the time.

Many people dont want it but medicaid is the best free insurance my hospital bill was 1267.89 and all i had to pay was 23.17. Also i got a really great doctor who accepted it and i got to see my sonograms in 3D and it was all free also it covers you for six months after the baby is born and covers the baby cost until he is eighteen if you keep getting it renewed along with yourself good thing is they remind you when you need to and if you cant drive to an apppointment they will help you with gas money or send it to you in the mail. They can also get you food stamps containing about 200 dollars a month for food. I am proud to say i am on it and receive it because this is the only way i can get the best things for my son because i work at mcdonalds and am always broke. Just call 211 to see where they are located around you.

might want to defeat the purpose of being loose do not you imagine? health assurance is a monopoly of decision. in the experience that they are going to mandate it then they ought to easily furnish it... having stated that it truly is what they attempt to do. Sigh the gadget that fines human beings is barely there to weaken the guy further and enable authorities from walking on you further. What about the unfavorable who don't have jobs? What about those who've minimum salary jobs and don't have it? What about the difficult operating those who get laid off and characteristic to pay out of there already dwindled unemployment checks? I stay in Mass the position they advantageous those who don't have it and its humorous how extra of the middle type are heading into poverty. I hate enormous authorities and that i hate fines. they are purely there to generate revenues and that is what taxes are assume to do. With extra fines will come extra money and extra borrowing by our authorities. some say keep on with for Mass health yet if you're making 7.25 an hour and are unmarried and purely artwork thirty hours you're nevertheless 80% above the poverty cost. Is that honest? No and neither is authorities. we've too many extreme society human beings disconnected from the unfavorable and center type making the guidelines and for this reason those guidelines lack any basic sense or decency for fellow guy.

Unless your income is too high, you are elgible for masshealth. I applied for Masshealth early on in my pregnancy, before my BCBS came in and was given it within two weeks time. I never used it however. They will cover almost all of your medicines and your appointments, although you will have to pay about $500 to the hospital after ht ebaby is born. You might also qualify for WIC, so be sure to ask about that.
Please visit the link below for an application or stop by one of their offices:

You can go down to the welfare office and get on insurance. Or you can go to planned parenthood and they can probably help you with what you need to go to get it.
