Garcia is strictly a west coast offense guy, he struggles in other systems (see his days in Detroit and Cleveland). I dont recall if Childress tried to install the west coast offense in Minnesota last year.

If you guys run it, then Garcia would be an adequate QB. If you dont run it, you have no need for Garcia.

I still think he ends up in Tampa

I don't think that Garcia will go to Minnesota for the following reason:

The Vikings already have a future star in Travarias Jackson. He's now their franchise QB. Why would they need Garcia?

as a guy to let T-Jack sit and learn I'd be fine ---but T-Jack is the franchise QB!! We are NOT drafting another one.

I heard rumors about the Vikes looking at some other Vet QB.....might have been Trent Green...I don't remember (and I don't think you can see past rumors on SI.com, only the most recent).

And I'm pretty sure the Vikes don't run a WCO...(based on it seemed we grinded it out w/Chester Taylor a whole lot..even though he only had 303 carries (although it was 540 total pass attempts to 442 total rushes, that was because they were behind alot.)

I think you will see this year is the beginning for T-Jack. I would guess you will see Garcia either in Miami or Houston. Oakland will not want a guy who doesn't throw deep, he can't stay in Philadelphia because they won't even make him an offer. You might see him somewhere like Seattle if they are concerned about Hasselbecks health.

Seems like a pretty good fit. He would definitely be the starter there and it would allow the vikings to be competitive while they draft a younger QB and groom him for when it comes time for garcia to retire.

Makes great sense, gives Jackson more time to learn and I think Garcia is a good QB to learn from.

Sounds like a decent idea. They need a vetern QB now that they cut Brad Johnson.

Nope, Gracia looks to be headed to Tampa Bay.
