for all you people that thinks the viper is faster than the vette you dont know what ur talking about a zo6 runs 11.5 and a viper runs
and the ford gt runs 11.78...
they have the same amount of power the viper might have 5 or ten more horse power but the vette is 300 plus pounds lighter.. the vette is all aluminum and fiberglass me and my friend could pick the vette up if we tried but the viper has that big *** v10 up front but chevy has found a way to make a 427 in an all aluminum SMALL BLOCK.

these people tried to tell me that the gt was faster and how many time do you see gts i live in detroit and i only saw 2 driving around now i see z06 at the races all the time stock giving it to people.

If you watch PBS this week you may see a repeat of Motorweek that was first broadcast 2/23/07. These rockets were compared, raced, and evaluated. The GT beat the others only in price and the fact that the commentator liked having 4 seats. It did state that more GTs are being produced than either the Viper or ZO6.
I don't see any in Chgo either.
Maybe they're still in the factory parking lot.

It is a good race between all 3, and a lot of times the results can vary based on the driver. All in all, the Vette is just a fraction faster. But when you start the overall comparison between the Viper, GT, and Z06, the Vette walks away from the other two. Main reason - pricing. For the money you'd spend on the Viper or Ford GT, can you imagine how fast the Vette would go if you put the cost difference into go-fast parts?

While the GTs look really slick, it's still a 1965 GT body that you have to lay down to get into. The new ZO-6s are AWESOME in power, ride, comfort, and sexyness. The ford will cost the price of 3 new Corvettes and you only get half the car it should be at that price. The GTs engine sits right behind your head and will probably go through you in a wreck and the noise, vibration, and possibly heat intolerable. And it no doubt costs a fortune to fix. If you could afford the GT, your money would be better spent on buying 2 Corvettes or Vipers.

The next super edition corvette (Zo7 orC7) will be faster than both.

the Z06 actually runs 11.3 with slicks, which is still technically stock
