You need to rearrange/rename the songs before plugging your iPod into your computer to update it. Once you have everything just the way you want it in iTunes, plug in your iPod and it will update exactly the way you have things in iTunes.

I have an ipod video. Get a new playlist. Name it whatever. Do you know how to send songs to your ipod? just send that empty playlist to your ipod. It should delete it. My cousin put her songs on mine and I was able to delete them.

I recommend going to www.apple.com and downloading the latest version of iTunes (free). Then restore the ipod to its original factory settings and start fresh.

You may have to use her computer. Ipods are usually only compatibale with the computer it was originally programmed to. You can add new stuff from yuor computer but to erase old stuff and reformat, you may need to use her computer...

that happens everytime

it will always do that, it's not really updating it, its kind of just arranging a connection to itunes
