i have the same problem.my doctor told me to go to a gyno first to see if its csyts or tumors pushing on the bladder then a urologist if it doesnt help.you need to talk to your doctor again about painkillers mine are helping me until we can find out the problem.he also told me i may have a dropped bladder.i suggest talking to your doctor about the possibility of csyts, tumors, dropped bladder.also ask about detrol la its helping my some of my frequen urination.it may help you too.good luck.i dont suggest drinking high acidic juices or eating acidic fruits.no coffee, soda, tea they all make you pee more since they are a diuretic(make you pee more)try and relax too.

You had a urinary tract infection, burning and or pain during urination and itching or pain in the urethra. There may be discomfort in the lower abdomen or back and frequent urge to urinate without being able to pass much urine. The urine may be cloudy or reddish in color and may have an unusual odor. A side affect from tacking antibiotics has caused you to have a yeast infection (Vaginitis). Don't scratch although it fells better. relieve itching by applying cold water compresses or tacking cool baths. Use a nonprescription antifungal medication that contains Clotrimazole or Miconazole (such as Gyne-Lotrimin or Monistat 7) as directed. Drink lots of cranberry and blueberry juice it's good for your bladder. Drink, drink, drink lots of water to flush out your bladder (Wear white cotton underwear so you can breath). And don't wear tight pants for a while. You can have urine tests while on your period. Oh and always wipe from the front to the back, never from the back to the front. I know just how your feeling. Get into the tub now and send some to the store for the cream. For further information go to wwwwebmd.com. Next time you need to take an antibiotic let your doctor know it caused you a yeast infection., And keep extra medication on hand so you won't suffer as much next time. I'm so glad your still a virgin! Husband only!

If there was no bacteria, why was an antibiotic prescribed??

You need to go to a urologist. They can get a "clean catch" sample of your urine by inserting a catheter (really not painful), so your period will not make any difference. It could be something like a kidney stone, or stenosis (narrowing) of the ureters or the urethra. Stenosis would account for not being able to expel the volume of urine contained in your bladder. Be advised that the pain you're in could very likely be your kidney(s). If you're unable to eliminate urine, it backs up into the kidneys, and that can cause them to go into renal failure.

PLEASE call a urologist. Some things cannot be waited out, they require action. Hope you get better soon.

They can test your pee even when your on your period. Tell the nurse/doctor your on your period. It could be that the antibiotics they gave you were not effective against strain of bacterial infection you have. You need to get to the doctor immediately, sounds like you still are infected.
