I think Aaron's cards will start to go up once the season starts and will steadily rise and peak when Bonds reaches the goal and surpasses it and then will gradually decline again but still higher than when the season began.

Pete Rose was banned for lying about using steroids? Aaron's cards will always go up. Not to a Hounus Wagner status but they will allways be worth more than anybody playing today, with the exception of cards that they purposely make only a tiny number of for that very purpose. There are just far fewer of older cards. Supply and demand.

I would say that they would go up. Also do not think that Barry Bonds should be allowed to play this year because he is a lying bastard. He lied about using steroids, which is why Pete Rose was banned from the majors. I think that since Barry Bonds lied that he should also be banned from the majors, and his homerun record should no longer stand.

Hank Aaron's cards will continue to increase in value because there aren't many Aaron cards available especially in the 1950's and 60's.

They probly will have a greater demand and Aaron will get more recognition this year.
One think people forget is the amount of at bats Ruth hit his HR's in and Aaron. A difference of a couple THOUSAND! Ruth was the better hitter. Bonds will also do it in fewer at bats
However, Aaron didn't cheat!

Aaron's cards will retain their value. Bonds will not be recognized by most people as the best HR hitter. Aaron, Ruth, and Mays were better.

They may rise slightly but then level out. It will all depend on the hype as Barry approaches the record.
