He would be like Forge from X-Men, since he like to create things.
Though the reason he choosed to become a bat was to scare superstitious criminals, so he probably would be a dark looking creature. As it already been mentioned, Nightcrawler is a good candidate.

Batman would not be a mutant. If he was a mutant, he wouldn't be Batman anymore. The point of Batman is that he needs no powers or special abilities, just his intellegence and his cunning and some cool gadgets

If batman was a mutant, his power would be cosmic intelligence, understanding, and comprehension. He would be able to speak, read, and decipher all alien languages and technology.

IF he had a power it would be something that help him in the fight agains the bad guys, and a "dark" themed one at that....
My guess would be :
