HECK NO! Was the dust bowl invented by farmers as an excuse for why their crops weren't selling? Global warming is just a natural extenstion of what we've been trying to tell everyone for a long time; but since all country folk have to be a bit backward or something, it only makes sense when it's coming out of an industrialized guy's mouth, or something, heh. Not like I mind so much... As long as people know that you can't push too much without having to pull your own weight...
Anyhow, there are a lot of different types of things global warming effects; and to say that the ozone layer is the only thing that's collapsing because of slash-burn economics is incorrect. But, no one person can invent anything, and there were people crowing 'bout global warming way before Al Gore. I'm kinda tired how a lot of the people I know jump on the anti-Gore bandwagon simply because he's being recognized for something we've mentiond a while now... He isn't such a bad guy, in my mind. Sure, he didn't do too much to help us, but that's all right by me. Anyhow, rambling now. But, yeah, I can't find any reasons to disagree with the facts, heh.

Scientists and globally minded people have been studying the effects of global warming since in the 1960's. Gore did not "invent" it. Global warming has been steadily getting worse the longer pollution is allowed to grow unchecked.
Study the FACTS, look at ALL sides of the issue, stop thinking as your parents or teachers do and research the subject before making a blanket statement through ignorance.

Al Gore did not invent Global Warming, he just exaggerated it (which he admitted to).
I refute the scientific "evidence" because it is inconsistent. The big premise of global warming is that it is caused by greenhouse gasses, primarily CO2. They claim that as the amount of CO2 rises, the temperature rises. Then they show charts of the last 150 years where the CO2 and temperature have risen.
What they ignore is the chart of the last 4 billion years that shows many instances where CO2 has been far higher than it is now, but the temperature is colder. This directly contradicts the CO2 / temperature correlation. The only way the correlation works is if you ignore 99.99999% of history and only look at the last 150 years. That is not scientific, and it is not evidence.
If they ever come up with real, scientifically verifiable evidence, let me know.

I'm a canadian, and can't help but wonder what is being taught in many american schools - so many people on here don't believe in global warming, evolution, basic elementary science is beyond them, can't spell, don't know how they get pregnant, etc. It's really scary to me that so many ignorant people think they have the right to tell the rest of the world how to live, or bomb them if they don't agree, eh.
holy doodle, wingshooter, you think if you write a tome long enough that you'll suddenly be credible? The occassional nut job denying global warming can't supercede every other scientist on earth AND our own observations. Don't feel bad, though, there are a surprising number of dumb PhD's out there, you aren't alone!

People are so stupid.
When there's a larger hole in the ozone & their cities are being flooded by polar ice rapidly melting, then maybe they'll realize the should have bought that Prius.
Al Gore is a good spokesperson of Global Warming. Even if his mansion isn't the greenist home in town, what other people of his status are out helping the enviroment & promoting being green ?

No, I don't think Al invented Global Warming.
But, if the theory is correct, he certainly has contributed his share to it...and then some.

The only reason Al Gore is claiming to be concerned about it is because he is being paid to promote a movie. His actions certainly show that he is not.

Global warming has been getting worse for many years. It sickens me to see what we're doing to our planet.
Anyone who thinks global warming is a made-up issue should pay attention to the changes in the weather. WAKE UP PEOPLE!
