No, as a matter of fact there are more countries in the UN that vote against us than with us, even those that get our foreign aide :
How they vote at the U.N.!
Below are the actual voting records of various Arabic/Islamic States which are recorded in both the US State Department and United Nations records:
Kuwait votes against the United States 67% of the time.
Qatar votes against the United States 67% of the time.
Morocco votes against the United States 70% of the time.
United Arab Emirates votes against the U. S. 70% of the time.
Jordan votes against the United States 71% of the time.
Tunisia votes against the United States 71% of the time.
Saudi Arabia votes against the United States 73% of the time.
Yemen votes against the United States 74% of the time.
Algeria votes against the United States 74% of the time.
Oman votes against the United States 74% of the time.
Sudan votes against the United States 75% of the time.
Pakistan votes against the United States 75% of the time.
Libya votes against the United States 76% of the time.
Egypt votes against the United States 79% of the time.
Lebanon votes against the United States 80% of the time.
India votes against the United States 81% of the time.
Syria votes against the United States 84% of the time.
Mauritania votes against the United States 87% of the time.
US Foreign Aid to those that hate us:
Egypt, for example, after voting 79% of the time against the United States, still receives $2 billion annually in US Foreign Aid.
Jordan votes 71% against the United States and receives $192,814,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.
Pakistan votes 75% against the United States receives $6,721,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.
India votes 81% against the United States receives $143,699,000 annually
Perhaps it is time to get out of the UN and give the tax savings back to the American workers who are having to skimp and sacrifice to pay the taxes.
Pass it along. Everyone needs to know this. Might even mention it to your congressman, who knows this anyway... what a disgrace... no wonder the world has no respect for us.

The USA provides the majority of funding for several dozen international programs inluding the biggest one the UN.
and your question.. what use is the UN. not much. And no the USA doesnt control it. It has a security council vote of course.
I would say the decisions of the UN are sometims partial -against- the USA. You have to remember who else is in the UN.

The USA is the primary financier for the UN. Not the total. We do not dominate the UN. No if the UN was under US control it would look a whole lot different than it does right now.

Who gives a crap about the UN they are a total waste of time as far as I am concerned. Nobody should be able to mandate what the most powerful nation on this planet does!!! I like it that way as long as people fear us and I have a job and can provide for my family and my country is #1 that is all I care about. Other countries will always hate the USA and want to see us fail but it just doesn't happen does it?? That is because we are the best admit it and accept it and stop crying. I love this country I would die for this country. End of story!

UN is a nifty idea. USA does not really pay its dues to the UN. The World runs the UN. The World is a funny place.
It is also very big.

it is true that US is the biggest contributor to the UN. but does that mean other nations do not fund UN programmes at all?.
just because you have a lot of money is it mandatory that everyone should listen to you?(not you in person but "you" in general)
UN is not a charity organization and cannot be controlled by one nation.but the reality is far different from the above

The UN makes asinine decisions that try to hamper America's effort to keep the world safe. The UN also hates Israel, as shown by its anti-Israeli resolutions.
The UN is anti-American.

Ultimately, it is the Security Council which is powerful. All the five nations, who are the permanent members of the Security Council have veto powers. Hence, the US cannot rule the world as it deems fit. It can be vetoed by another single member of the Security Council.

yep!. I think that we should throw the whole lot of them out of the country. Let them set up their dog and pony show in Europe. Then let them find a way to finance it without the American Tax payer footing the bill.
