I'm all new to computers..I want to download a film or two but havn't got the memory, can I buy memory? do I need to buy a new disc drive? How much is it? I 've only got 400MB left on my computer & I cant erase anything else...
I'd be very grateful if you could help, thankyou.

first of all, make sure you download the movies legally or you may have the MPAA suing you. That being said... You don't want memory (RAM), you want more hard drive storage space. Yes, you can buy a new hard drive and pop it in there for more space.

Well, you have two options. The first is to get a new internal hard drive. However, given how expierenced you sound, you will need to get installed by somebody else, which will cost $$$ between actually buying it, installing it, and switching over ALL your data. Your other option is to buy an external one. For that, you should go to best buy or some where like that to get somebody to help you find a 'plug and play' one, that way, you can just plug it in and go! You might wnat to try a Maxtor brand. I have one, it's plug and play, and it's worked great.

You should buy another hard drive. 250 gb should be enuought. it costs around 100$
