How can anyone realistically say Mats Sundin is not the MVP of this team? One can talk about how well the Leafs did when Sundin went down earlier this year and how they slumped when he came back but this guy bleeds BLUE and White leads the team in goals, points, shots, faceoff wins and sticks in the face.(Tucker a close 2nd in that category) All that with having to miss 7 games due injury. Sundin is a constant professional and handles all the critizism from the media and the fans even though most times it is misdirected and uninformed. I think this guy is perhaps thee best Captain in hockey but because he gets paid the most fans expect him to be better than the hall of fame career he has had. The Leafs are prolly the fifth most mis-managed franchise in the NHL behind the Rangers, Bruins, Blackhawks and Capitals and how many different Captains have they had since 1997? Sundin hands down MVP and it isnt even close.

Hands down, Captain Mats. He is the leader of this team when it comes to getting things done on the ice. When he's on, the Leafs are winning. When he's off, the Leafs are too. This guy is the only reason right now, on top of Rayzor's play as of late (except for the last two games against Montreal and Buffalo), that the Leafs have a chance of making the playoffs. Mats Sundin. End of discussion.

i think mats sundin is the best player on the team. i would like to see him go to a team with a little more spirit,that will never happen though, he is a franchise player. i don't like the maple leafs but i do like mats and i think it was a mistake to get rid of pat quinn.

Everybody on the team sucks. Except for Sundin. They should have traded him so at least he has a chance of winning a Cup. It will never happen for him in Toronto.
