Went to a Perkins Restaurant ordered breakfast and the plate came out with a pubic hair on it! I sent the plate back, they brought me back the same plate minus the hair, I sent the plate back again and they brought a plate with half cooked eggs and frozen hash browns!! Have not eaten at a Perkins since and that was 12 years ago!!

We tried Steak and Shake, in Florida on vacation. We stood for 10 minutes, waiting to get a seat, and only sat down because one of the workers who was getting off decided to seat us. She put us in the new girl's section. We waited another 10 minutes to have our drink and food orders taken, and the drinks didn't come for 15 minutes. The food didn't come until we asked for it, and it was cold and slimy. When we asked about our food and asked for ketchup and wondered where two of our shakes were, she said [not nicely] "I'm sorry, I'm doing this all by myself"
We never saw her serving any other tables, so we were the only ones, and there were only 6 of us. We went to pay and asked for money back on some of the stuff that was terrible. The fries especially were cold. My brother had a mushroom burger or something, which was lukewarm and the mushrooms were cold and icky. The shakes weren't what we ordered, either, when we finally got them.
Also, more recently, we went to Waffle House. We sat down and ordered almost immediately, and I ordered a double waffle and hashbrowns. I got the hashbrowns in about 10 minutes, but the waffles never came. When we asked about the waffles 30 minutes later, the other lady said "Oh, I don't know. I guess she just forgot." I saw the second lady go over and put ONE waffle on the pan, and then she left and started doing other things. We waited another 15 minutes, and then decided to leave. I went out to the car to wait, while my brother paid, and he didn't come out for a good 10 minutes. He said he was just standing there, waiting for someone to ring him up, and then he had to convince her to take the double waffle off, since I never got it.
Bad luck with restaurants. geez.

A few months ago we went to Village Inn. Our server came up to the table and just stood there, didn't say hello or anything. Finally we ordered our drinks and food, again she still didn't say a thing, or write our order down. I'm beginning to think she is deaf or mute, until I see her standing in the corner talking to co-workers. Our food comes out about 45 minutes later, she walked to the table set our food down and turned and walked away, still she didn't say a word. My order was incorrect so I flagged her down, she picked up my plate and walked away again without saying sorry, not a peep form this lady. The entire time we were there she did not speak to us. It was a very bizzare experience. Needless to say she did not recieve a tip, and I work in the industry, so I never do that.

I was at a pan-cake place called the "Mad Batter".
The waitress I got was Russian. When I ordered home fries she asked me if I wanted ketchup, when I told her no she said "I wasn't American". I ordered bacon and I got a ham stake. When I called the waitress over instead of taking the entire plate she grabbed the food with her bare hands. She then brought back my bacon crunched between her knuckles like a set of keys. I couldn't help but wonder if she was the same one who scribble "shove it" on the sign that says all employees must wash hands.

I was living in Spain for a while and began missing home food...so my friends & I found a little Italian place called, Gino's. The first time I went it was great--really hit the spot! The second time, oh boy..there were a few roaches crawling up the wall where we were sitting. Then a boy sitting near us began throwing up food...really made the moment special.

You did the right thing. I would've written a letter to the corporate office. I think in the back of our heads we all know how nasty these restaurants are and how filthy and unorganized some of these people might be and yet we choose to eat out :o). I guess we like to live on the edge.

About 20 to 25 years ago my husband & I always went out to dinner on weekend night to same restaurant in Isles of Capri near Marco Island Fla, the Restaurant had wonderful huge seafood platter -- we split one every weekend and we'd split a 'split' of champagne -- very Romantic!!! This 1 nite in 'season' (Jan.-March) we got a nice table & ordered. Then we began to hear IT! The beginnings of the TERRIFYING 'SCREAMING BRAT!!!! It went on & on & on! Everyone in the Restaurant (Jim & Eydes) was going nuts (internally)! I asked the waitress to PLZ do something, she tried -- altho not very hard (you'd think the owner would do something!!!). After what must've been a SOLID 20+ MIN. of this brat SCREAMING -- I finanally couldn't take it anymore! I stood up looked right at the mother/father/2-sets of grands & said," Could you PLEASE take that baby outside & handle hiim/her! (Waving my arms around the room indicating the 50+ other diners) I said: All of us came here to ENJOY a WONDERFUL MEAL, perhaps a little Romance, and are spending our hard earned money Only to sit here and have OUR EVENINGS DESTROYED because YOU dont have the decency to think how others are effected by your screaming child."
Well, I had NO IDEA what might happen, but to my surprise and delight, EVERYONE IN THE ROOM -- STOOD -- and gave 3 MINUTES OF T H U N D E R O U S APPLAUSE !!!!!!! The looking like she was the injured party, finally took the kid outside (where he continued to scream, but at least we were ALL able to have our wonderful meals in the fashion we were entitled to !!!!
I think I turned a bit red by the applause, but I gave a quick smile to my fellow diners and gave many handshakes as they stopped by our table when they checked out!!! To our knnowledge they never came back there! I pity all those who they inflicted that kid on in the future after they were bounced from Jim & Eydes!!!

We were eating at a Chinese restaurant and the waitress accidently dropped a fortune cookie into my water glass. Not a problem; accidents happen. But, then she stuck her fingers into my water up to her wrist and fished the cookie out and laid it on the table next to my plate and went back to the kitchen. No new cookie; no new water glass, zilch........ oh, yeah, no tip.

I googled the place I had my worst experience and got this.
http://www.hiddenboston.com/blogentries/red-barrel-0406.html
My experience was similar, no food for over an hour, no rolls no nothing.
When I told her my beer was warm she stuck her finger in it to test it.
Our food was cold when we got it, and the best part?
I went to use the bathroom and they were both out of order. I asked if she had another one and she told me to pee in the back behind the building!!!!!
