Well I was named after my great grandmother Clara, and my daughters are Fiona and Evelyn- can't get much more old fashioned than a variation of Eve! Rose is nice too.

Well I was named after both my great-grandmothers and my name is Emily Marie. Their names were Emily Virginia and Clara Marie. I am naming my baby girl (due May 10) Lauren Marie. Some other names are Emma, Rose, Anna, Grace. If you like Ella, I think Ella Grace is nice. Hope this helps!

Congratulations! I wish you joy!
Ella is a pretty name. So is Emma. The middle name is just as important as the first name, though. They need to go together well, and tie into the last name.

My girls are named Mary and Ann (we call her Annie) and I can't tell you how many complements we have gotten over going old-school. When I was growing up these names were hella popular, now, they are new all over again.
Another one I love is Nora, my grandmother's name. And I echo whomever said Josephine (how cute is Joey for a nickname??), my other grandmother's name.

It is so refreshing to read your question! I am sick to death of the trendy names with the weird spellings!!! (Example: Names like Mackayluh and Kristaal Destynee).
I love beautiful, classic, NORMAL names!
Ella is absolutely beautiful too. What about Rachel, Rebecca, Georgia, Susan, Lucy, Ellen, Sarah, Mary...

Well, we went with Eleanor for my baby girl-- we felt it was a strong name that was appropriate for a child or an adult, it is beautiful, it is not currently common but is well known, and it goes well with our last name.
Other names I liked:
Cecilia
Ada
Vivian
Lucille (a family name)
Caroline (another family name)
Garnet (yet another family name)
Daphne
Genevieve
