That depends in the topography and the depth to the aquifer, provided there is any ground water at all. If you dug deep enough you will reach magmatic waters, but these would be far from healthy to drink.

its absurd that one thinks if he digs every where he richs to healthy water!
one example is Mali. you will never find water before you rich the earth very core!
