My towel holder came off the drywall leaving two holes in the wall. (where the anchors/screws used to be) I need to fix the towel holder exactly in the same place as before. Can I fix the dry wall holes and then put anchors and screws into them? Thanks.

If I understand you correctly you need to replace the towel holder in the same holes as they were in but the holes are to big now.
If this is the problem you can just get plastic drywall anchors put them in the existing holes and put your screws into the anchor when you tighten the screw it expands the anchor making a nice tight strong fit.

Only if you use a toggle bolt-it will expand behind the drywall. How heavy is your towel? We use beach and body towels, pretty heavy and even heavier when wet. So consider not putting it exactly in the same place. To repair drywall: get small container of drywall mud (and ask at the store what else can be used on a small job) if you use the drywall mud buy a cheap plastic trowell and cover the hole, it will probably take more than one time. However, I have no confidence in drywall mud holding the screws. But, I'll continue with the process. Use enough mud to cover the area and either dry sand or wet sand til wall is smooth. Sorry this is all over the place but my baby cockatiel got out while hubby was feeding her and she is going nuts. We just got her last night.

Believe it or not... but instead of purchasing spackling compound and going thru all those phases..
USE white tooth paste.. actually they reccommend Crest for repairing Nail holes in the wall AND for removing crayola marks from the walls.

Crest= good for cavities and other things too.. lol

GOOD LUCK

If you want to patch a damaged area in an existing knockdown texture wall, it’s easy to do with an aerosol texture designed for the purpose. -See more at: http://www.miconstruguia.com/en/knockdown-texture
