When i use the Norton Spyware Scanner it finds a browser plug-in called ANYPBOOKMARK, and it is flagged as high risk, and should be removed from your PC. But when i try to remove it, it stays in the registery. When i go to more information on the scanner, it says Threat not found. I have looked through the online norton directory and it has nothing listed by that name. Any help would be greatly received. Nedwood65.

Download Spy-ware Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware both available in the downloads section at the following link http://www.computeractive.co.uk/ Another good programme is Windows Defender from Microsoft. They are all free. You can run more than one spy ware programme but never run two Anti-virus they can cause problems. If you have not got a firewall and Anti Virus try AVG and Zone Alarm both free editions for personal use they can also be obtained at the above link. Good Luck

I had Norton for years, thought it worked great. But then it changed or something. Not the best Spyware around. When it let a virus in and attack that was the end for me. My brother had been raving about StopSign and that I should go to their website and do a free scan. I went and I really like StopSign.

If there is something that you can not get off your computer they will make you a program to do just that. Then they send you that program to clean up your computer. My brother said that he had a problem and that he allowed them "remote access" and they found it.

What I had was a virus that told me to try these other scanners to get rid of it - when in fact they didn't do one bit of good. My computer kept telling me I needed to clean up and they'd list a lot of spyware cleaners. After calling and talking with eaceration's staff I understood why. They were very helpful to me. That is eAcceleration's StopSign AntiVirus/SpyBlocker/PopUp Blocker and FireWall all in one membership price.

I was so impressed with them that I signed up for two years on two computers.

Best of luck.

Go to http://www.mbusbyuk.info/links.html and scroll down the page til you come to freeonline virus & spyware scans.
On the list, find Panda (ActiveScan) and click on the link.
When you get to the site, click on the button Scan My Computer.
Then select to do a full system scan
THis should fix it.
