Confidence without being conceited.
Don't seem desperate at the interview.(don't seem like you don't care either)

I hire people everyday. Over confidence is a very big disappointment for me. Be truthful. If you are asked if you know how to do something and you don't. Don't say yes.

Simply tell them you have had little or no experience in that field but you are more than willing and capable to learn any position they have to fill.

I can't tell you how many people have come into my office and told me "I like to stay busy, I don't like to just stand around" And they have turned out to be the worst in the standing around field.

Let them ask the questions. You answer them.
You ask questions at the end of the interview if you are allowed. Be inquisitive.

If you are a verbal linguist (you know big words) Do not talk above them. make sure they understand you and you understand them. If they use a word you don't understand tell them. I am sorry I do not understand what you mean. (never use curse words, even if they do)

Most employers are looking for a person that can grow with the company.

Be Yourself. after all they are hiring you.

I'm not sure what jobs you're going for, but off the top of my head I'm thinking that these are a couple of problems you may be encountering.

1. Lack of experience/qualification for the job

2. Resume/Cover Letter not up to par

3. Jobs have already been filled, not your fault.

To start off, I'd ask your family and friends whether they know anyone who would give you a job. Contacts are the best way to find/get jobs.

I need more info on what job it is, how old you are, your experience, and what is it you want out of the job - just money??, before I can offer any more advice.

Always speek propper, dress proffesionally, and act excited about the position. I interview people every day, and there is nothing worse than someone who acts like they don't really want the job. Employers take that as a sign of lack of motivation, or even laziness.
Good Luck to you!

Just a suggestion - start with a temp agency in your area. They can give you a job skills test and place you in a job that matches your skills. Many temp jobs turn into full-time jobs. At least you will find out where your talents are and build your confidence.
Good Luck!

Do not give up! But, are you qualified for the jobs you have applied? Maybe that is the problem!

Maybe you are too nice! You need to be confident and apply for jobs that you love to do everyday.
