my guppy had 9 surviving babies yesterday and we spent hours catching them all, she just ate the others really fast so we are lucky to have these 1's my only problem is now they are in the breeder box they keep escaping through the slits in the sides of it and we no they arnt going over because we have watched them riggle out any ideas on how to help ??? thanx

Two ideas.. if the mom is the only fish in the tank other than the babies, put her in the breeder box for now. If not you will need something like a breeder net that has muc finer holes so that the babies won't escape.

I bought a little 2.5 gal setup for my platy fry. You can buy a tank, heater and filter for around $40-50 probably. Make sure you take some water and maybe some gravel from your other tank so you don't have to cycle the new one with the fry in it.

OR

You could buy a breeder net that would be impossible for them to escape from for about $3-5.

I just had my mollie give birth to a baby fry and i went out and bout this mesh separator and put him in that. i feed him this baby bites fry food and everything seems fine so far.
