I'm still trying to get over an 18-year marriage to a man with BPD and I'm interested in other women's experiences and what they went through, did about it and so on. Sometimes I feel like the only person who has had this happen. It has destroyed my self-esteem and sometimes I wonder if I will ever be okay.

I haven't been in a relationship, but I have worked with them for several years and only for a couple of hours out of the day. Those couple of hours were mentally exhausting, so I cannot imagine how you survived it for 18 years. I know there are a lot of other women who have gone through this or are going through this. The important thing to remember is that he is out of your life. I am assuming he is because you said you are trying to get over it. Use this time to focus on you. Chances are, he monopolized a lot of your time, as a lot of borderlines do. Reconnect with friends and family. Do things for you. Look into therapy.
