Mothers want the best for their daughters, not that I'm trying to defend her for driving you and your love apart, but sometimes their pride can come before their understanding. Sometimes family can be helpful in pointing out problems that the individual wouldn't see for years down the road, so family has the right to give their opinions. However, you should find out what was really the reason she left, and if its something you can work on then you can try it. If its not, then you just have to move on, don't pick up the pieces, blow them away.

It is hard to imagine but love does have a way to diminish over time. Due to many reasons. You just count your blessings as you could have gotten married to her and she would have had half of what you have now. Look, it could have been her mother, or she just got tired of you. It could have been a lot of things including her parents. But rest assured, it was part of you too as if she really loved you like you think, she would have walked thru burning buildings to save your relationship and love. It may not be what you want to hear but if it is right you may be back but it sounds like you two were padding up hill in a deluged of falling water. It hurts I know, many of us know. But this is what makes a man a man. There are a lot of other females out there that will appreciate your new found singularity. Morn your loss after you get tired of being in the nothingness state, go out and get back into the game. You control your life not her.

You can't blame the Mom. Your girlfriend didn't have strong enough feelings for you or she would be with you now, no matter what her Mother said!!! You just have to accept that fact so you can move on. It just means someone better is out there for you! You may miss her if you keep yourself down about the one that left!!! So put on your happy face and go meet the girl of your dreams!!!

you sometimes find the future mum in law is jealous of her kids getting married off and leaving them.
which she should understand that one day she will have to get married, and even when she gets married she may just stick her nose in.
but as you said, your girlfriend is 25,i think she is old enough to make her own descions, dont you think?
i mean,she isnt a silly 18 year old.
im sorry to hear of your troubles, but i do hope you try to get yourself back to normal, dont sit around thinking, its not good for you.get yourself out and about and treat yourself and meet new people
good luck
p.s. there are plenty more fish in the sea!
