Interesting!!! In our Gujarati language there is one proverb which means that the building ,needs additions,repairing and so,, it has to built time by time.The money flow should always be reserved for the House.It is a place which needs money to built it time and again.Never completed,, only becomes ready TO ENTER or To reside in it forever but then also one has to continue to built///some changes,time to time.

I think u r getting confuse with noun and verb.
Building(n): thing built, in which people can live or work.
building : continuous(present/past..etc)
