There's 9 on the field at a time like any other baseball, but the number on the bench varies depending on how many kids turn out for the league.

I coached little league baseball and softball for several years. I preferred to keep about 15 on the teams. That allowed for 9 on the field and we rotated players so each could play at least 2 innings. It also allowed for absenteeism, vacations etc.

Usually 12-15. Most little leagues have a mandatory playing rule. Each kid must play atleast 3 innings
