I am the parent and if one of my boys told me that they were gay. I would hug him and tell him that I love him unconditionally. If he wanted to talk about it I would listen, if he thought that I didn't understand I would educate myself and still be there for him.

Dep on parents...
I have no issues with gay people. Most Ive met were very friendly and funny and great at a party.
I also hate religions except say wicca and maybe budisim due to all the abuse they dish out.
An astute parent would probably have picket it up already.
Creative parents or those in the media would be better as usued to seeing many gay people as gays tend to be more creative

I am a parent. If my daughter told me she was gay, I wouldn't care, I just want her to be happy. I love her, not her sexual preference. Whether I agree with it or not. It's the human I love not the lifestyle. As long as she is not doing anything harmful to herself or others and she is not breaking the law, it is fine with me. And if she is happy, even better!
Myy parents would not have cared either, I was raised to love the human race in all its different forms.

Depends on your parents. My mom would have been upset but she would have accepted it eventually, my dad would have disowned me. I know some people who's parents would be totally cool with it and are. It all depends on your parents view on that matter. If you are then you need to go ahead and tell them and give them time to get over the shock.

I do not think my parents would like that but If I loved The person very much then I would not care what my parents thought. My parents are happy because I'm already married

If your just asking that as a question, and if i told my mother i was she would be probably be a little upset at first but she would be happy for me..She really couldn't say or do anything because my mother fell in love with a woman and they were together for about 8 years, I mid you she was not a lesbian or a bisexual befor her but you can't help who you love and she fell in love with a woman!

I know mine would have said something like oh well it's your life lead it as you see fit,
If my son's told me they were gay it would not make any difference to the way i loved them ,I'd just tell them to be careful and safe and take precautions.

Well if I was gay, and I told my Mom, I don't think she would care at all. She would just be happy that I know who I am and who I love, even if it be women instead of men.

if your gay and ready to tell your family then do it, its doesnt matter what anyone else says or does. Its your life and your feelings. Your family may not accept it and that could be hard for you to accept so maybe counselling would help.
