I hear a rumor that there was adult content on Wikipedia and I did some research and was surprised by what I found.

The entries for the male and female sex organs have both illustrations and photographs of them. The male sex organ is photographed in both erect and flacid states.

I followed a link on that entry to an entry on ejaculation. Once again there were photographs of men ejaculating. And very surprising a video of a man ejaculating. It was labeled " educational demostration of ejaculation".

Do you believe that anyone should have access to this (there are no warnings or restrictions now) material for educational purposes?

Legally Wikipedia has no obligation to remove these images, however to be in line with Florida state laws, Wikipedia will simply provide a link for the more sexually explicit images. The images shown are in line with the Wikipedia content disclaimer with states:

"*Wikipedia contains many different images, some of which are considered objectionable or offensive by some readers. For example, some articles contain graphical depictions of violence, or depictions of human anatomy."

And what is wrong with the demonstration of Human Anatomy? Is it frankly worse that seeing someone's guts being removed in Television Series like Grey's Anatomy and whatnot? I find it far less desirable to have to look at blood and gore and whatnot. In a legal battle, Wikipedia would win if people were to say that they weren't warned about the "explicit" images, however, if the disclaimer can be accessed, then Wikipedia wins.

Hope I have been of assistance,

S.O.
