More than anything they need an offensive line so Joe Thomas makes a good choice. However, there is also a big need for a running back and there has been some talk about a new quarterback. While most of their problems at quarterback would be fixed with an offensive line, they still have seemed to lose some faith in Kitna. I think Thomas is the best option for them, however i wouldn't be too surprised (looking at the past draft selections) to see them take someone else.

If they have half a brain (yea right) this is what they will do. Trade down to New England. NE will get the second pick and take Calvin Johnson. I heard they want him bad and this is probably the only way they will get him. It will cost them big time though. In return the Lions would get at least: NE's first pick 24th overall where they would probably take Tony Ugoh or another lineman on either side of the ball. They would also get a third or fourth round pick from NE AND at least two active players. The active players are what the Lions really need...not untested rookies no matter how good they are supposed to be. Look at what their last few first picks have become. yikes. Marinelli says he is cleaning house in Detroit. About time. This is one way to fill a bunch of the spots that will be created by doing so. Go Lions!!!

The detriot lions will take Joe Thomas with their first pick, they need some help along the offensive line.. It would be dumb for them to take another WR with their first pick.. They have Roy Williams, who is one of the best WR in the leauge and they have another good WR in Mike Furrey, not to mention Mike Williams who I think will have a break out season this year.. They just picked up a good RB in Tatum Bell incase Kevin Jones isn't a 100%. They can always pick up a QB in the 2nd round, hopefully Chris Leak or Jordan Palmer

I think the lions are going to get Joe Thomas from Wisconsin. We need better pass blocking to prtect the QB, but lets hope its not Kitna. Kitna is not going to get the job done. Quinn could be a great QB, but there is another QB from houston (?) that has great potential

I could see the Lions taking Brady Quinn with their first round pick. They are in desperate need of a QB. I don't see think they see Jon Kitna as their QB of the future.

Brady Quinn. I'm a Lions fan and they should pick some good O-Line guy or Troy Smith.

I would say Troy Smith, but with the injury to Jones maybe they trade down and take Adrian Peterson.

Brady Quinn.

But, they need an O-Line more than a QB. Kitna is not that great.
